Plant Floor Guide
As a registered user, you can easily upload a bird’s eye view of your plant, warehouse, or location using the Plant Floor feature. This feature allows you to mark your Plant Floor with location pins and associated Product Lists. You can see existing Plant Floor layouts, navigate to all Product Lists, and more. You can even create a new list or check the items in a list before attaching it to a Plant Floor pin. Learn to use this powerful tool and become an expert in a few easy steps.

- To create a new Plant Floor layout on the main Plant Floor page, click “Create New Plant Floor.” Upload an image representation of the plant, warehouse, shop, or location that you want to map into your Motion account. Name the new Plant Floor and choose an Entity type and Department. You can choose between department level or production line level. Department level allows you to attach production line and machine level pins, while production line level Plant Floor only allows you to attach machine level pins. Click “Save.”

2. Click “Add Pin” to highlight specific parts of your layout representing a room, process, product line or machine. Add a name and specifications, then drag the new pin to the location you would like it to represent. Click “Save.”
3. Click the pin or pin name and click the pencil icon on your pin to enter edit mode. Then you can assign existing Product Lists, or upload notes, images, and attachments to each pin. Associating a pin with a Product List allows for simplified ordering and discussion of relevant products with your team and Motion representative. Note that only the creator of a Plant Floor/pin can edit or delete it.
4. In the edit view, you can rename the pin. You can also add or delete Product Lists, notes, images, and attachments from the pin. Click “Save.”

5. When adding a Product List, search your existing Product Lists and filter by creator or creation date to simplify results. Once selected, the Product List will save to the pin automatically.
6. To buy products from a pin’s Product List, click the pin, click the Product List, and click “View Full Product List.” Select the items you would like to buy or choose the box to the left of the item count to select all and click “Request a Quote” or “Add to Cart.”
7. Plant Floor layouts can now be shared with all users at the registered location.
