Burrs are cutters that remove unwanted pieces of workpiece material that are left behind after machining operations. They're used on metal, wood, and plastic and are distinguishable by the shapes of their head and tooth styles. Double cut burrs remove material quickly, while single cut burrs are used to produce a fine finish. Carbide burrs are harder than high speed steel burrs and work well on stainless steel and in high-production applications.
