Overview

• New design tapered adapter mount spherical roller bearing units provide versatile arrangements for supporting shafts that carry substantial radial or a combination of radial and thrust loads
• Incorporates an integral lock nut, sleeve and inner race along with Optical Strain Sensing (OSS) technology and a Positive Locking System (PLS) that visually indicates when the bearing is tightened to the shaft correctly
• These features not only yield the most secure shaft mounting, running accuracy and ability to accommodate undersize shafting, but guarantee the correct installation every time and make removal a snap
• Offers higher dynamic load ratings than the previous design, runs cooler and runs quieter yielding a bearing that lasts longer in the application
• Dynamic and static misalignment capability has been increased to ±2.0°
• Rollers are aligned by the retainers and the inner race, so despite misalignment, the roller load is always equally distributed across the surface; prevents high edge load stresses on the rollers and therefore it is not necessary to derate the bearing for misalignment conditions within the ±2.0°
• Easy to mount and dismount, sealed, prelubricated and does not require adjustment during mounting
• Additional key features include: Choice of various seal types based upon application; all seals assure protection with up to ±2.0° of misalignment in all directions, provide operation on hardened and ground inner ring extensions and can be removed without disassembly of the bearing; field adjustable bearing clearances based upon application need; fully self-aligning spherical roller bearing that accommodates for operational misalignment or misalignment due to installation; case-carburized inner races provide a hard, fatigue-resistant surface and a tough, crack-resistant ductile core
