Overview

• Steel is strong and durable but less corrosion resistant than stainless steel
• To improve its resistance to corrosion, it may receive additional finishes and coatings
• T-slot nuts are T-shaped and designed to fit along a T-slot track on a workbench or machine table
• They are used to hold workpieces in place
• Tapped through nuts, also called fully threaded nuts, have threads all the way through so the fastener can extend past the bottom of the nut.
