They maintain their original dimensions after being resharpened.|High speed steel (HSS) provides good wear resistance and can be used in general purpose applications for both ferrous and nonferrous materials.|Straight flute reamers are the most common and are used in general purpose though-hole applications. They are used for reaming holes without interrupted cuts.
