- Hex head types have flat bearing surfaces, sharp corners & six uniform sides. They are used with flat washers & are tightened with wrenches in limited-clearance applications.
- Steel is strong & durable but less corrosion resistant than stainless steel. To improve its resistance to corrosion, it may receive additional finishes & coatings.
- Type F thread cutting screws have a tapered point & are ideal for steel, plastic & brass.
