Overview

• Sof' Shoe® elastomer shims solve angular soft foot alignment problems on motors, pumps, generators, turbines, and other plant machinery
• An inexpensive alternative compared to more time consuming and expensive options such as milling the base or foot, hand cutting graduated shims, replacing base, or rebuilding base with poured epoxy
• Made of a proprietary elastomer with unique cold-flow and set characteristics to fill irregular gaps
• Stable to 225°F
• Each Sof' Shoe® elastomer shim's thickness has a 12% flat compression under standard bolt torque, yet will absorb the angularity of nearly half its thickness
• Used together in the alignment process with stainless steel slotted shims
• Blue Sof' Shoe® elastomer shims are 0.020" thick, compress to 0.0175" and absorb up to 0.010" of angularity
• Yellow Sof' Shoe® elastomer shims are 0.045" thick, compress to 0.040", and absorb up to 0.020" of angularity
• 10 pieces per package
