Jaw and Wrap Type Couplings

Complete jaw couplings join and transmit torque between two shafts. They consist of two metal hubs and an elastomeric insert that interlock. The hubs prevent backlash, while the insert transmits power between the two hubs, accommodates misalignment, and absorbs and reduces vibration. If the insert fails, the hubs interlock and continue to transmit mechanical power. Complete jaw couplings are ideal for high-speed applications that require frequent stops and vibration damping.
